Its generals look down, feeling some compassion for the workers toiling on its slopes and surveys the town below.

Their thoughts then turn to the leaders of the town who have ordered the clearing of the land, constructing new roads, fences and the planting of native flora.

These leaders know of us, they have been warned of us, they look up and see us daily and yet they ignore us.

They have been told of our incursion into the Bird Walk section of Ngā Tapuwae o Toi, where our sentries now tower above the native flora.

If they continue to ignore us, these slopes will become ours.

The army of wilding pines with the assistance of privet will rule the slopes.
